money wasnt the issue. bad management was.
This. Like that graphic bug Calavero post sometime ago, that 99,(9)% players didnt notice at all and yet they still wasting time to fix it.
Looks like some programmers he hire just exploit his weakness and take money for some small tasks, when game didnt even reach playable status.
Someone bring Chris Roberts here and I think that Star Citizen have the same problem: creator that cant give up dream of ideal game for actually create a game even if its not ideal.
But with one difference Chris Robert's still have millions of dollar and has reached to make an big "advertising - self-perpetuating Star Citizen - Money making machine" or similar...

I think most of his believers, won't check if the game is really complete released (what's still not for sure, I guess), that's not worth the quadrillion dollar they pumped into... but he has understand how to make gold from air... And so long it works he has found an way for his personal creative self-realization...

Chris Robert's and Elon Musk should get along well.

comparing this to the most fundet anything in history is kinda naive tho. you are not qualified enough to judge wether or not star citizen will fail or succeed.

Yes always to compare the most overfunded games with one of the most underfunded makes little sense. Because with an moiety of money that Star Citizen has, M.O.R.E. already would be realised.., I guess. I would more give Calavero the needed money for MORE then Chris Robert's for Star Citizen.

From the spectrum, diversity and ideas More has really great potential, but when the project never will be realised it's hard to judge about...

iam not actually sure if MORE would be released yet when it had star citizen's funds.
again, MORE's problems wasnt the funds, it was bad or non-existend project management

I don't know whether project-management alone can be the reason.
But there were reasons why we had the feeling of bad management.
I think it was an form of vicious circle...

In the beginning years there was an lack of experience, how to manage such an project in the right way. After the first funding it takes some time to understand he had underestimate the scope and financial cost of project.
Especially bugfixing took at least 50% or more time and money.
His solution were further fundings, but also with more promises...
And I guess he always hoped to get an really big fund in one of his tries...but reality had other plans.

But he won't give up even though he suspected, that the fundings will not be enough...

The rest of the song we have heard and experienced already.

The only thing we can accuse him of is an lack of communication and foresight to go the most fastest way to an Early Access Version.... with the motto that sometimes less is more.

All the optional and extra content can be nice how they are, but all that he could fulfilling after release, with expansions and DLCs and so on....

Now it seems to late and no one knows or says what will happen next.

Nothing. Nothing will happen next. Shame, I loved the idea of a turn-based space strategy game, with 10 different ship sizes + fighters. I'm over it now. I came to terms with the fact, over a year ago, that this game would probably never see the light of day. Bye-bye a hundred bucks. I'm sure someone will try again someday. Hopefully while I'm still alive and able to play. Time to move on.

although this game is dead, posting boring singleplayer games with star lanes has nothing to do here.

Sooo how is it going? I would love to see some updates on the website to see the progress, then again if you are tight with money just concentrate on the development. Fingers crossed, hopefully you finish this project!
